The hot tub of hrifunes nature park on a lovely summers day in south iceland

Modern architecture in the heart of otherworldly nature

Share

All our houses are designed by the Estonian architect Andres Põime. Most notable works by Andres is the restaurant Kadriorg and the spa-hotel in Narva-Jõesuu. In addition to new projects Andres Põime has done numerous notable reconstruction projects – such as the old airport of Tallinn.

A guiding principle in the design of the properties in the park was to integrate the experience of the natural environment with modern comfort. The houses come with a broad view across the park, with the Atlantic in the distance and are designed to harmonise with the landscape and are themed in natural Icelandic colours. French windows make for maximum views and natural lighting indoors. Each property is equipped with all the main modern conveniences: Wi-Fi, a hot tub, sauna, two showers, a large verandah and quality household appliances. They are designed as a place for the family to spend time at all seasons of the year and enjoy relaxing in a mild climate. Furnishings are modern but tasteful: warm, colourful and attractive. There’s a large verandah, where people can enjoy the summer barbecuing and eating. Each property has its own wood-fired hot tub. To crown a perfect day, climb into the tub, forget your cares, enjoy the warmth and relax.
